Position Overview

Faith Church MN is seeking a Hospitality and Building Director to help steward our campus and create a welcoming, well-maintained environment for everyone who enters our doors. We believe first impressions matter, and this role plays a critical part in how guests, congregants, and staff experience our church.

The Hospitality and Building Director oversees the care, functionality, and hospitality of our building, helping us welcome people as we would welcome guests into our own homes—reflecting the way Jesus welcomes us into relationship with our Triune God.

Essential Responsibilities

Hospitality & Ministry Support

  • Foster a posture of support across all ministries, particularly worship and programming
  • Set up, arrange, and tear down furniture and equipment for services, events, and outreach activities

Building Environment & Safety

  • Maintain a comfortable, welcoming, and secure environment for congregants, guests, staff, and students
  • Oversee room setups, thermostat settings, and general building readiness
  • Ensure spaces are prepared before, during, and after services and events

Facilities & Systems Oversight

  • Identify, diagnose, and address building maintenance needs
  • Maintain working knowledge of plumbing, mechanical systems, HVAC, and digital building systems
  • Coordinate with contractors and service providers when specialized expertise is required

Inventory & Cleanliness

  • Manage inventory of supplies, tools, and consumables
  • Oversee building cleanliness, including coordination with the contracted cleaning service

Availability & Schedule

  • Be available for building access or alarm notifications outside normal hours, as needed
  • Sunday morning and/or Wednesday evening hours may be required to support worship services and programming

  • Hands-on aptitude with a mindset geared toward fixing and improving systems

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
