Using Your Gifts to Inspire Hope and Transform Lives

Whether it’s helping within the life of our church or reaching out to our neighbors in the local community, every act of service inspires hope and changes lives. From greeting people on Sunday mornings to participating in outreach projects, there’s a place for everyone to use their gifts and impact the world around them.

Sunday Morning

Join us in serving on Sundays!

By using your gifts, you’ll bless others, strengthen our church community, and be inspired as you make a real impact each week.

Some ways you can serve would be:

- Behind the coffee Bar

- On the Worship team

- Helping clean up the Santuary and kitchen after the service

- Help prepare or clean up from our potlucks and celebration meals

If you're ready to serve this Sunday, let us know!

Kids & Youth Volunteers

Serve, Encourage, and Inspire this Generation

By serving in our kids ministry, you’ll help children feel at home in church, grow in their faith, and make a lasting impact—while being inspired and encouraged yourself.

We need volunteers for Sunday school and Wednesday night programs each week, as well as the occasional special event.

Please contact our children's or youth pastor to learn more!

Third Thursday Community Meal

We want to feed people well.

Since April 2013, Faith Church has been providing free homemade and nutritious meals to our community!

On the 3rd Thursday of each month from 5:30-6:30pm, we come together to enjoy food, conversation, and community.

No registration is needed, everything is free, and everyone is welcome.

Volunteers can serve by donating food for the meal or giving their time by helping to prepare, serve, or clean up afterwards.

We also consider those sitting at the table, engaging their neighbors in loving conversation, as a way to serve!

Want to help?

Beacon Hill

Every month a team of deacons and covenant partners from Faith serve our neighbors and members who are homebound in Beacon Hill, a retirement community.

We bring songs, testimony, and communion as well as cookies and coffee to fellowship together.

Anyone is welcome to join us in bringing hope and love to this community. Please contact us if you're interested in participating!

Stephen Ministry

Stephen Ministry is a care ministry for people who are experiencing life's difficulties such as job loss, grieving a spouse or family member, financial difficulties, illness, aging or needing to move from their home to a care facility.

All Stephen Ministers undergo training that encompasses how to listen to others, refrain from judgment, ask open ended questions and allow others to come up with their own solutions to fit their circumstances.

After training, Stephen Ministers are assigned an individual who has requested support. Our group of ministers also meet regularly for check ins, to share about their caring experiences, and continued training and education.

If you have a passion for people and desire to care for those in difficult life situations, let's get you started with this wonderful ministry!

ICA Foodshelf

Faith Church was one of the five founding churches to help establish the ICA (Inter- Congregation Communities Association) food shelf in 1971 for Hopkins/Minnetonka. It now serves the communities of Hopkins, Minnetonka, Excelsior, Shorewood, Deephaven, Greenwood and Woodland.

Although ICA is primarily a food shelf, it does have some financial resources to help with housing and other bills. It also helps with medical clinic and transportation information, housing assistance and some job search support.

We host an annual Chili Cookoff and food drive to support this crucial ministry.  You can join our team in executing the Chili Cookoff this coming September or drop off food throughout the year to support our neighbors in need.

Life Rebuilders

Life Rebuilders is a Christian-based organization that is a residential ministry of Midwest Challenge, Inc. Faith church is involved with their mission to support men recently released from prison, transitioning to life “outside”, back to the real world.

Two times in the winter months, we meet together with these men for breakfast and to fill the bags together. These useable gym bags are filled with personal toiletry items, a Bible, a watch, and writing supplies. The participants receive transitional help back into the community through the Life Rebuilders program. The men who have been in this program demonstrate a noticeably lower recidivism rate when compared to other former inmates.

Dinner at Your Door

Once known as “Meals on Wheels”, this is a volunteer meal delivery system to home bound recipients that accomplishes three things: It allows people to remain in their homes, gives people contact with the outside world, and peace of mind to family members that their relative is getting a good meal.

Faith Church has supported this ministry for over 50 years as one of the original participants. Just one visit a week is all it takes to bring nourishment and joy to neighbors who need your support. Sign up today!

Adult & Teen Challenge

Adult and Teen Challenge's mission is to assist men, women and teens in gaining freedom from chemical addictions and other life-controlling problems by addressing their physical, emotional and spiritual needs.

We support this ministry through hosting an event once a year where we hear testimonies and songs prepared by participating members. We also serve a meal for the group at the church.

Global

Beyond Us

Beyond Us is Faith Church’s mission board, playing a vital role in our larger vision to go into the world and make disciples. With its own dedicated budget, Beyond Us supports a variety of ministries, helping extend the impact of Faith Church both locally and globally. Through this board, we are able to equip and empower these ministries to carry out the work God is calling us to do.

A.C.P.E. Operating and Ministries (Guatamala)

Together, Giovanni and Magaly Sinay and Faith Church support ACPE, Asociacion Cristiana de Promocion Educative (Christian Association for the Promotion of Education). Growing this relationship has opened new doors and created new friendships. The Sinays have visited Faith Church three times. Groups from Faith Church spent two weeks in Guatemala in early 2016, and again in 2020, visiting the Sinays and seeing and participating in their ministries first-hand. In addition to their three church communities in different locations, a recent outreach is a radio ministry. On the horizon is a plan to buy land and build a school.

Development for Freedom International (Haiti)

DFI is an organization operating in Haiti founded by MS Kim, a Korean Canadian whose goals include “delivering the Gospel for lost souls to reunite with God”. Helen intends to use Faith’s financial gifts toward the work in the AGAPE program which serves boys who have been living on the streets by providing residence and schooling.

Wycliffe Bible Translators, Donna E. (Southeast Asia Region)

Donna E. is our Wycliffe missionary, from Minnesota, who translates the Bible into the local languages. She has trained teams of local people to work with her on this formidable task. She also works on radio broadcasts of the bible.

Feed My Starving Children

Feed My Starving Children is a Christian nonprofit organization who believes Jesus Christ has called us to feed the hungry and serve those in need. At an FMSC packing site, volunteers scoop various dry grain powders into plastic bags, and then heat seal them. When the bags reach their destination at almost any region on the globe, and are opened by a hungry child, and mixed with clean water, they become a nutritious meal. Faith Church supports FMSC financially, and we have also sent groups to an FMSC packing depot nearby in Chanhassen, MN.

Transformation Church

Faith Church’s passion for Global Missions and church planting is evident through our relationship with Pastor Kim Bahige and the planting of Transformation Church in Burundi, Africa.
